On Thursday, Ram Nath Kovind elected as the India’s 14th president getting an overwhelming number of votes from the country’s lawmakers. He defeated Meira Kumar, former Lok Sabha speaker by getting over 7 lakh votes.
Mr. Ram Nath Kovind has been sworn-in as the President of India at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Tuesday in a glimmering ceremony.
The former Governor of Bihar, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, a legal advisor by profession commenced his profession in 1971 when he enlisted as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi. He filled in as Central Government Advocate in Delhi High Court from 1977 to 1979 and Between 1980 to 1993, he was a member of the Central Government Standing Counsel in the court of supreme.
I never longed for this position nor was it an objective. My race to this post is a message to each one of the individuals who release their obligations with genuineness and trustworthiness,” he stated, promising to maintain the Constitution of India and take after the strategy of Sarve Bhavantu Sukheenaha or peace and flourishing to all.

Ram Nath Kovind’s birth date was 1st October 1945. He was born in Paraunkh and this is the same place where he grew up, located in the Dehat District of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. His parents Maiku Lal (Father) is a farmer and Kalawati (Mother) house wife. A Dalit by birth, Kovind has dependably endeavored to work for the privileges of the individuals from his group and respects Dr. B. R. Ambedkar as his object of worship.
Before taking part in the world of politics, Kovind honed as a lawyer in the supreme high court and Delhi High Court for a long time. He is active in politics from 1991, but he got elected as the “Rajya Sabha Member” from UP in 1994.
