The first song of the most awaited movie of 2017, Padmavati, has been released by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the one word that perfectly describes the whole song is, its marvelous. The song gets its name from the famous traditional form of Rajasthani folk dance Ghoomar which is usually been performed on the happy occasions by ladies.
Ghoomar song is sung by the talented singer with a melodious voice, Shreya Ghoshal and picturized on Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. The combination of Deepika Padukone‘s stunning and gorgeous look and Shreya Ghoshal‘s magical voice make this song truly breathtaking.
The song was shooted at Chittorgarh fort and you can see the glorious and beautiful interior of the fort decorated with diyas and paintings in it. The whole song took 40 days to be created by makers.

According to Deepika, This is one of the most difficult songs shot by her. She discussed in an interview to DNA about the Ghoomar song. Deepika said, “It has been one of the most difficult song sequences that Sanjay sir and I have shot for. The shooting of the film began with this song and I will never forget that day. I remember approaching my mark for the first shot and suddenly, I felt a chill run through my body. It was almost as if Padmavati’s soul had entered my body. That feeling still lingers and will continue for years to come. “
The film also features Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as invader Alauddin Khilji and in lead roles. The song has been composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali that has been penned by A M Turaz. Rajasthani Lyrics given by Swaroop Khan.
